CEA Warns Use of Banned Polythene During Vesak  ‘Dansal’

As the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) has received information that banned polythene might be used at the Vesak ‘Dansal’, CEA requested the Ministry of Buddha Sasana and the Ministry of Home Affairs to instruct organizers of ‘Dansal’  not to use banned polythene during this Vesak season.

CEA Director of Inspection M.S. Gamagen requested the ‘Dansal’ Organizers and devotees to use environmentally friendly products instead of polythene products. Furthermore, constant raids on banned polythene will be conducted, he said.
