Committee Report on Revision of Train Fares Submitted to the Transport Ministry

The Ministry of Transport has appointed a committee to study the existing train fares and recommend revision of train fares. The committee has finalized its’ report and handed over to the Ministry of Transport.

The proposal to increase commuter fares by 15% is included in the report, Railway Department sources said.

The submitted committee report is to be presented at the Cabinet meeting for approval.
