Rishad Requests Sarath Fonseka to Reveal Real Facts About Wilpattu

Minister of Industry and  Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen attended an event in BMICH yesterday (10).While replying to a question raised by a journalist about destroying Wilpattu and settling Muslims there, Minister Rishad said that communalist elements in Srilanka continue to make wild allegations against him and Northern Muslims, alleging that forest belongs to Wilpattu National Park is being destroyed and Muslim settlements  established. Minister categorically said, that not a single inch of land belongs to Wilpattu National Park was seized by Muslims. This is a fabricated lie. For a long time we have been keep on asking the authorities concerned  to investigate and reveal the real position. Minister hope  that the current subject Minister Sarath Fonseka would give attention  to this Wilpattu matter and clear the position. If anyone has seized the land belongs to the Wilpattu National Park, legal action should be taken against them. As a people’s representative  of that area, I would provide all my able assistance, he concluded.
