Weather Forecast for 15th May 2018

Rainy condition over the southern half of the island and surrounding sea areas is expected to enhance during next few days.

Showers or thundershowers will occur over most provinces of the island, particularly after 2.00 p.m.

Showers will occur in Western and Southern provinces and in Puttalam district during the morning too.

Heavy falls, above 100mm can be expected at some places, particularly in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva and Western provinces and in Polonnaruwa district.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
