Private Buses Operators Poised To Launch Strike from Tomorrow

Inter Provincial Bus Owners Association President said, that the 6.56% increase on bus fares approved by the cabinet is not sufficient. Hence, discussion will be initiated with other bus operators union to launch a strike as from tomorrow (16).

It is relevant to mention that the bus operators unions have requested an increase the bus fares between 10 to 15 percent and the minimum fare to be increased from current Rs. 10 to Rs.15.
