The Joint Opposition   MP Ranjith de Zoysa speaking to media in Ratnapura said, the government has failed to control the prices of essential goods and cost of living is sky rocketing. The prices of essential goods are increasing rapidly at present with no limit in sight. The government has increased prices of potatoes, onions and fuel by 30-35% and sellers further increase prices arbitrarily adding the public is severely burdened by this situation. The MP noted the Joint Opposition has understood the plight and in the near future will launch a massive campaign island wide to protest against the cost of living and inflation.
