Rs1.4 Million to Repair Rosy’s Official Residence Toilet?

Rosy Senanayake, newly elected Mayor of Colombo said to have refused to occupy the official residence due to lack of proper toilet facilities. Nearly 4 years back this toilet was repaired and upgraded at considerable expenditure when former Mayor Muzamil occupied it.
However, current Mayor wanted it to be renovated according to her requirement and comforts. Until repairs and renovations are completed, she refused to occupy it. When the proposal to repair and renovate at a cost of Rs1.4 million was brought before the Council, some members reported to have protested it. However, it was finally approved.
