Ranil Warns Journalists Backing SLPP

Addressing a gathering at “Srikotha”  after  Minister Navin Dissanayake received his  appointment as  the National Organizer of the UNP, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe alleged that there were no new faces in the Srilanka Podujana peramuna (SLPP) except for a group of retired military officers and he warned journalists in case the new outfit (SLPP) won power, they have to face the same fate met by Sunday Leader Lasantha Wickrematunga, Prageeth Eknaligoda and several other journalists. Those journalists who now represents the SLPP interest will be  made to disappear by the very same people. That is their strategy and there is no need for me to remind you again, he concluded.
