New Mobile App to Track in University Ragging

Minister of Higher Education and Cultural Affairs Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe says that 280 cases of harassment and sexual abuse during university ragging had been reported so far.

The University Grants Commission has successfully launched a new app in Colombo today (Jun 06) in an attempt to prevent ragging at universities.

The new app paves way for the Vice Chancellors and Marshals at universities to track down the victims of ragging.

Then the authorities could be informed of the incident by the victim through an SMS
