Price Reduction of Kerosene price from Monday – State Minister

Earlier, the government increased the price of kerosene due to increase of oil prices in the world market and misuse by commercially operating vehicle owners.
At request of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Ministry to provide relief for the fisher-folk and low income families, the government has considered reducing the price of kerosene.
Hence, the price of kerosene will be reduced by Rs. 25 to Rs. 30 per litre with effect from next Monday (11), State Minister Dilip Wedaarachchi said.
Accordingly, the price of kerosene will be brought down to Rs 70- 80 per liter from the current price of Rs 101 per litre as from Monday.
