Lieutenant arrested- Obstructing the duty of police

 

A Navy Lieutenant, who attempted to assault a traffic police officer of Maharagama police, has been arrested.

A senior spokesman of Maharagama police said that investigations have been initiated to arrest another person involved in the incident.

The particular traffic police officer was on duty near the Vidyakara Girls School in Maharagama this morning.
