Protest by JO Parliamentarians opposing Indian joint venture

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – A group of Joint Opposition (JO) Parliamentarians on Monday (16) organised a protest march at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) opposing the plan to set up a joint venture with an Indian firm.

According to the proposed-joint venture, the Indian firm will acquire 70 per cent of the controlling stake of the airport and 30 per cent will be owned by the Government of Sri Lanka.
