New Chief Justice appoints today?

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on Thursday (11) informed the Parliament that the Constitutional Council will discuss the appointment of the new Chief Justice during the meeting that will be held at 12 noon today (12).

The 10 members for the Constitutional Assembly have already been appointed and, the Prime Minister, the Opposition Leader and the Speaker are officially appointed to the assembly.

It is reported that President Maithripala Sirisena has nominated Nalin Perera as the Chief Justice.
