Afternoon showers expected – Met. Department

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island particularly after 2.00 PM, the Department of Meteorology said.

Showers may occur in coastal areas of Western and Southern provinces during the morning too.

Fairly heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Central, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts.
