Showers will be expected today

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island particularly after 2.00p.m.

Showers may occur in coastal areas of Western province and Galle and Matara districts during the morning too.

Fairly heavy falls above 75mm can be expected at some places in Central, Uva, Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
