Philippine Airlines’ flight attendant breastfeeds passenger’s baby after mother runs out of formula milk

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) -A flight attendant from the Philippines is winning hearts online after she went above and beyond her call of duty and breastfed a stranger’s baby during a flight. What’s more, the incident took place when crew member Patrisha Organo was being tested for a promotion to Cabin Crew Evaluator.

The crew member staff recalled that everything was running smoothly until after takeoff when she heard a baby wailing. As a young mother herself, Organo understood that the infant was in distress and approached the mother to ask if everything was okay. When she heard that the mother had run out of formula milk, and the flight supply didn’t have any either, she offered to breastfeed the baby herself.

Her Facebook post of the incident, which took place on Novermber 6, is going viral and people are hailing her a hero.

“I approached the mother and asked if everything’s okay, I tried to tell her to feed her hungry child. Teary-eyed, she told me that she ran out of formula milk. Passengers started looking and staring at the tiny, fragile crying infant,” Organo wrote in her post. “I felt a pinch in my heart.”

With the help of the line administrator on the flight, named as Sheryl Villaflor, she assisted the mother to a private area of the plane so they could feed the baby maintaining privacy. “I saw the relief on her mother’s eyes,” she added. “I continued to feed the baby until she fell asleep. I escorted her back to her seat and just before I left, the mother sincerely thanked me.”
