Aruwakkalu bound garbage lorries attacked

(FASTNEWs|COLOMBO) -Three persons have been apprehended for attacking three lorries transporting waste materials collected from Colombo to the Aruwakkalu Sanitary Landfill site.

The suspected group was arrested for pelting stones at the lorries along the Puttalam-Mannar road at around 1am.

Several lorries transporting garbage to the Aruwakkalu Sanitary Landfill site came under attack on numerous occasions previously.

The Puttalam Police is conducting further investigation into the incident.
