Issue of 375,000 NICs to G,C,E(OL) Students sit for 2015 December Exam

Registrar of Persons, Sarathkumara  said that the Department of Persons has issued 375,000 National Identity Cards to G.C,E,(OL)  students sitting for the December 2015 Examination. Out of the applications received 1,800 applications have been rejected due to incorrect date of birth, irregular signature and photograph not properly pasted, applicants from foreign countries not submitting birth certificates, If foreign applicants are children of Srilankans , they should get it certified according to the laws of Srilanka. Applicants whose applications rejected are advised to complete fresh applications and resubmit it. Facility to obtain NIC on the day it is submitted (One day )service is available.
