Shooting at Ambalangoda Cost a Businessman Live

A businessman,  former first-class cricketer,Halambage Premasiri has been shot and killed by an unidentified gunman in the Manimulla area in Ambalangoda.

This incident occurred at around 9.00 pm last night while the victim, he  was on his way home in his SUV.

It has been reported that the victim’s son was also inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting. The 53 –year-old father of three, who is also said to be the Chairman of the Galle District Cricket Association.

However, he had succumbed to injuries before being admitted to the Balapitiya Base hospital.  The reason for the killing and any suspects are yet to be identified while Ambalangoda Police is conducting further investigations.
