Methottamulla Disaster Death Toll Increased to 10

Methottamulla Garbage dump disaster death toll has increased to 10. Among the dead were one child, and six women. Out of seven victims admitted to National Hospital Colombo, one died on admission and others are being treated. Several others received treatment and left the hospital, said Director Anil Jeyasinghe.

In the meantime MP for Kolonnawa Marikar said, despite the Garbage dump height increased to 180 feet and people’s protest , officials keep on dumping , which led to this disaster. At least now, they should learn this as a precedent and take immediate action, he appealed.
