China’s Chartered Flight Arrived With Relief Goods

A chartered flight carrying emergency humanitarian disaster relief goods worth a total amount of about 2.2 million US dollars, donated by the government of China, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) .
The flight reached the airport at around 2.00pm today (3) while the relief goods include 600 tents, 20,000 blankets, 5,000 sheets, 1,000 rain boots and 20,000 life jackets for Sri Lankan  floods and landslides victims.
The relief items were officially handed over to the Sri Lankan government by Chinese Ambassador Yi Xianliang and were accepted by Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake and Disaster Management Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa at the Bandaranaike International Airport .
