Army Won’t Collect Garbage

Army spokesman said, while army is engaged in identifying locations where garbage dumped and inform relevant local authorities. We have already deployed army teams in Colombo and suburbs.

Further, Army will assist Police in arresting persons dumping garbage in unauthorised public places. Army shall not be deployed to collect and dispose garbage.
