Gammanpila Retracted His Earlier Statement on Shani Abeysekara

United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila said, that on a previous occasion he has made adverse commence about the recently appointed Director of the Criminal Investigations Department Shani Abeysekera.

Addressing a media breifing held in Colombo today, the Parliamentarian noted Shani Abeysekera received his promotion as Director of the CID based on his credentials.

MP Gammanpila added the former SSP received praise from a Supreme Court Judge for the manner in which he handled a case reported in Angulana. He further said, that one must not do wrong by even ones enemy and that is why as justice must be served, he retracted his  earlier statement on Shani Abeysekera.
