SB Wants Group of 16 to Join JO, But Prasanna Says an Attempt to Divide JO.

In a meeting conducted by the group of 16 SLFP MPs under the caption “Freedom for conscious” in Matala yesterday (17) MP S.B.Dissanayake said that there is no use of keeping one leg here and the other there. Hence, to win the forthcoming election they have decided (group of 16) to join the Joint Opposition and strengthen their hands to form coalition to contest the election.

Responding JO MP Prasanna Ranatunga said, that their plan is to infiltrate into the JO and divide it. For the last three years we were agitating that Mahinda Rajapashe should be appointed as the Prime Minister. Now only belatedly the group of 16 says that Mahinda should be made the Prime Minister.
