President commends Speaker’s efforts; Meeting between President, Opposition Leader, UNF tomorrow

(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Following the meeting held between Speaker Karu Jayasuriya and President Maithripala Sirisena this evening (29), the President has decided to meet Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan and Leaders of the United National Front (UNF) on Friday (30) to discuss a solution to the political crisis.

President Sirisena also commended Speaker Jayasuriya’s efforts to sort the political crisis, the Speaker’s Office said.
