New set of health guidelines issued
(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Director-General of Health Services has published new health guidelines that will be effective from January 01 – 31.
COVID health guidelines have been issued by the Director General of Health Services.
Accordingly, weddings can be hosted with guests allowed up to 50% of the seating capacity of the relevant reception hall.
The number of people that can be admitted at a time to restaurants, shops, drug stores and supermarkets is limited to 50% of its capacity.
Private parties are allowed up to 50% of their capacity in event halls and up to a maximum of 10 people at home.
However, outdoor parties will continue to be banned.
Public rallies, gatherings, and other events are also strictly prohibited until further notice.
Based on new health guidelines, tuition classes can be held for students in Grade five and above and can accommodate up to 50 percent of the seating capacity of halls.
