Beauty and Hair styling industry in crisis
(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Recently, the government banned the import of cosmetics and equipment.
As a result of this, 90 percent of the 50,000 beauty salons are at risk of closing down and 80 percent of the 4 lakh people who work in them are at risk of losing their jobs, said veteran beautician Mrs. Jackie Aponsu, president of the Union of Beauty and Hairstylists.
