The special investigation unit of the Consumer Affairs Authority seized 200 tons of a variety of imported rice ,while being packed in bags under different brand names to be sold at higher price.
After expiry date lapsed 10 months back ,new expiry date has been printed on these bags. Further contact number of the supplier was not printed on these bags.
The keeper of the rice store and two others have been arrested in connection with the incident.
