Followed by this, the news in circulation states that Namal Rajapakshe will be arrested in a day or two and he is likely to join Yositha in Welikade.Police sources revealed, on the basis of Police investigation findings in the murder of Rugger player Wasim Thajudeen and financial fraud, where Namal’s connection confirmed, Police plan to arrest him in a few days.In the murder of Thajudeen, direct involvement of one Tissa Wimalasena, Security Officer cum Body Guard of former president Rajapakshe was confirmed in Police investigation.On being questioned by the Police, how he had found the capital to establish five Companies at Gower Street at Thimbirigasaya owned, Namal said that Satin Vasa Gunawardena, Nimal Perera and Ishara Nanayakara had given him the money. But all three businessmen have denied having given money to Namal. He has given false information to the investigation team and police found evidence to prove money laundering.Last week news spread like wildfire, that a room was being renovated to accommodate a VIP in Welikade Prison. This room is located next to the room, where Yositha was detained. Once Namal isarrested, he will be detained in this room, sources revealed. More than one news web site carried this news.
