Press release from meteorology Department reads thus :
“Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern, Uva and North-central provinces and in the Hambantota district.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, North-western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts after 4.00 pm.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity”.
