The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said that disruption of water supply could take place in many areas across the country, due to the power-cuts imposed by the CEB.
Therefore, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board requests the public to take precautionary measures to stock water prior to the disruption of electricity.
However, the CEB has taken measures to provide electricity throughout the day to pumping stations that supply water to main cities such as Colombo, Galle, Matara, Negombo and Kandy.
