We have received another report on a case involving Child abuse from Buddhisirigama, Wanathawilluwa. The case in mention was brought to the awareness of the Police by the suspect’s mistress who had seen the 41 year old father abusing his 11 year old daughter.
The child was left in the care of her father when her mother left the family after a disagreement with him. The child was allegedly abused many times by the father, and in her statement the child claims that she was brutally raped by a good friend of her father.
The Police have arrested the Father who is currently in custody and scheduled to be presented before the Puttalam Court.
The child is currently admitted to hospital to run health checks to assess her medical situation.
The 65 year old friend of the father has so far eluded the police and is suspected to have left the area.
