Kaushal Silva in Colombo Hospital

Sri Lankan batsman Kaushal Silva who suffered a blow to his head during a practice match in Pallekelle has undergone a CT scan at a private hospital in Colombo.

Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket Mohan de Silva said the accident occurred during a practice game last evening(24) for the selection of the squad for the upcoming England tour.

He said Silva was not in critical condition adding SLC believes he will be able to participate in the England series after his recovery.

Kaushal Silva suffered a blow to his head following a Dinesh Chandimal delivery as he was fielding adjacent to the pitch.

He was initially admitted to the Kandy Hospital and then subsequently airlifted to a private hospital in Colombo.
