Good Governance Government made available CTB buses to Political Parties, Trade Unions and Workers Groups to pay laid down charges and reserve buses for their May day rally and meeting. Unlike in previous occasions, 3,500 buses were released strictly on payments. CTB was able to collect Rs45 million in this instance. In one hand CTB collected considerable income. But on the other hand bus commuters were inconvenienced as most of the buses were released for May Day and only few buses were there for normal services .However, as May Day fell on a holiday impact on bus commuters is less. At the same time millions of rupees revenue on express way was deprived, as express way charges were waived off by the Good Governance, observers say.
