Rishad Met World’s Election Reformist R.M. Voland

World’s Election Reformist  and Constitutional Expert, R.M.Voland met  the Minister of  Industries and Commerce, Rishad Bathiudeen at his Ministry Office yesterday. In his capacity as President of All Ceylon Makkal Congress, he led the delegation of his party men, who met  R.M.Voland.

He has been invited by the National Institute for alternate policy organization. He placed his papers with documentary evidence on proposed Election reform in Srilanka.He explained his experience in testing it in Nepale and  in south Asian countries.

Minister explained the steps taken by the ACMC regarding Election Reforms and the position taken that minorities should not be affected by this Election reform. Head of the State and other leaders were brieved of this , he said. Further,negotiations are underway with minority parties such as J.V.P, and  Sihala Urumaya, he concluded.
