Young woman tries to smuggle gold in her underwear

A 31 year old Sri Lankan woman was nabbed by customs today (11). She was traveling back from Dubai with 10Kg’s worth of gold in the form of 100g biscuits concealed in 5 sets of underwear.

She has stated to Customs that the gold was given to her by an anonymous person in Dubai and that she was carrying the gold for a fee of 5000 rupees, Custom authorities’ claim that is a commonly used line by smugglers and is most probably false.

The biscuits were in two packets respectively containing 18biscuits and 82 biscuits.

The worth of the god is estimated at nearly 50,000,000 rupees.
