Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure, Harin’s cousin had complained to police that he was assaulted by Harin Fernando on April 22, 2015, at the Swimming Club in Kollupitiya. Followed by this incident, police has filed a case against Harin. However, Harin Fernando too had filed a counter case .
This settlement was reached when the case regarding the assault was taken up before Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne yesterday.
Harin Fernando settled an assault dispute with his cousin Andre Fernando, giving an undertaking to the court that it won’t be repeated.
Andre Fernando refused to give an undertaking similar to the one given by Harin Fernando, stating that it was Harin
who was assaulted. He had to be admitted to hospital for several days and stitches were put on his lip, Andre Fernando’s side said.
