A Soil theft amounting to a worth of over 300,000 from a Government owned property has been reported. The theft was reported to authorities by an Engineer of the Road Development Authority (RDA) of Galle.
9 individuals alongside an Earth mover and seven tippers were arrested in the investigation conducted by the Akmeemana Police.
The Galle Magistrate Court ordered the suspects be remanded till the 17th of June yesterday (11).
Further investigations are currently underway.
