Indo – Lanka Kidney Racket Suspects Continued to be Remanded

The suspects arrested over the Indo Lanka kidney racket was produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today.

Police  also produced a detailed report into the progress of investigations into the incident. The court earlier rejected a plea to release an Indian national arrested over the incident on bail.

The Police protested the bail application filed by the suspects citing that investigations ordered by the Attorney General to verify if Sri Lanka was the centre into an international kidney racket has not concluded.

The prosecution had informed court that if the investigations into the incident are continued the Director General of Health Services must also be arrested.
