Rapid Rise in Sugar Price

A few weeks back  whole sale price of  1 Kg  sugar in the Pettah market was between  Rs 85-90.

It has been reported yesterday(20)  that the whole sale  price of  sugar in the Pettah market   is Rs 112 /= . Accordingly retail price of 1Kg will be between Rs 118-120. Due to present price increasing trend in the world market and drought in India caused this price increase.
