Who Obstructs Development of the Eastern Province? – Chief Minister
Eastern Provincial Council’s 60th sitting was held yesterday (21st) under the Chairmanship of Chandrathosha Galapaty. At this sitting, Chief Minister Nazeer Ahamed said, that today Good Governance is established. President and the Prime Minister lead the country in the right direction. But unfortunately Governor of the Eastern Province interferes and obstructs development work of the Eastern Provincial Council. As a result, we are unable to do any good work to our people. While other Provincial Councils operate in a peaceful manner without having any obstructions from respective Governors, Eastern Province face the difficulty.
I have already brought this matter in my capacity as Chief Minister to the notice of the President and the Prime Minister. Governor of the Eastern Province should come forward to cooperate with the Chief Minister and the Eastern Provincial Council to develop it.
