No Money to send Thajudeen Murder Case CCTV Footage to UK and Columbia for Expert’s Report

When Thajudeen murder case was taken up yesterday before the Colombo Additional Chief Magistrate, Nishantha Peris, CID informed the court, that CCTV footages are yet to be sent to Britain and Columbia Universities.

The IGP has made a request to release funds from the Ministry of Law and Order for this purpose. However as required funds are yet to be released, CCTV Footages still remain in court custody.

In the meantime, State Counsel informed the Additional Chief Magistrate, that CCTV footage could be sent to Britain and Colombia Universities and the report obtained in August 2016.
