Announcement of Price Reduction on 15 Essential Items Today.

A lengthy discussion was held about this under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena when the Cost of Living sub-committee met at President’s office yesterday.

The President’s Media Unit said that attention had been drawn at this discussion on providing essential goods to the consumer through the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment.

Followed by this, as early announced by Prime Minister , Ranil Wickramasinghe, revised prices of 15 consumer goods including essential food items such as sugar, dhal, potatoes, Bombay unions, dried chilies, dried fish and milk powder are  to be announced today.
