Srilanka a Nation Bleeding with Debt – JVP

The JVP  Chief Secretary Tilvin Silva said at an event in Bibile yesterday when the country gained independence in 1948, Sri Lanka did not have any debt, and the country was free from  debt .
Silva said the government claims it is obtaining loans in order to develop the country, but he charged if that was  the case, the country should be developed, loans  be settled and Sri Lanka would be giving loans to other nations.
He said the country began obtaining loans in 1952 and continued to do so and now the country’s debt is sky high. The JVP says Sri Lanka will be a bleeding  nation due to the country’s debt in future.
