BBS Lodged a Complaint Against ”Ho Gaana Pokuna ” Film

”Ho Gaana Pokuna ”  a childrens Film is a co production  of    Yasodara  Sarathchandra,  and Kusumsiri Liyanarachi . This film was in a circuit in the recent past.

Bodu Bala Sena Chief Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera said that the teachings of lord Buddha was misinterpreted in some part of the film. Hence, he   lodged a complaint with the National Film Corporation against the film.

Right from the beginning any film produced in Srilanka which include Buddhist religious teaching or related issues are first shown  to the BUddhist clergy before screening it. This is done to ensure that there is know infringement of Buddhist Religion.

Although it is a punishable offence, but since the film has already been screened, the NFC should prevent is DVDs from being sold to the public, he added.
