University Non-Academic Staff Protesters Were Given Solutions to Demands

Secretary at the  Ministry of Higher Education, D.C Dissanayake, said that solutions to demands of non-academic staff of universities engaged in protest, were handed over to them in writing.

The secretary claimed that this letter was handed over during the meeting presided by State Minister Mohan Lal Grero with the participation of academic representatives of the trade unions on Aug. 6 evening.

The secretary said that solutions to all their demands were met, in addition to the request of a Rs. 2,500 salary increment.
