Weather Forecast For 9th August 2016

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Central, Uva, Eastern and North-Central provinces and in the Hambantota district after 2.00 p.m.

A few showers can be expected in the Western,  Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Strong winds at times  (up to 50kmph) can be expected over the country, particularly over the Northern and Southern provinces.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
