Appointment of Everest Champion, Kuru-Utumpala As Brand Ambassador For Women’s Rights

On May 21, 2016, Kuru-Utumpala climbed  the world’s highest mountain, becoming the first Sri Lankan to do so.  To appreciate her achievement, Ministry of Women and Child Affairs has announced that Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala will be appointed as the new brand ambassador for women’s rights protection.

This appointment will be valid till 2017 Minister Chandrani Bandara will make the appointment tomorrow.
