Al – Qaeda Attempts to Recruit Members From SL and South India

Asian Age news paper has reported that the al–Qaeda  which is competing with IS  is now releasing its publication in Tamil and Malayalam languages. Al–Qaeda’s global media section called ‘’ Islamic Media Front ‘’ was established.

 They attempt to contact prospective recruits  through Tamil Ansar and Olivin Sarathu networks. Through Facebook page called ‘’ Syria  through Indian Eyes’’  they published Syrian news updates  in Tamil and Malayalam. This website updated developments in Syria. They invite prospective members to come for debate through internet.  Most of people who have gone and joined  al–Qaeda are from South India and a few from Srilanka .
