Attempt to Derail Yahapalanaya by Entering into Mega Deal?

This Government came into power promising Yahapalanaya and announced checks and balances to achieve it. However, a few political authorities are trying to derail Yahapalanaya by circumventing checks and balances.

A case in point is, a political authority responsible for public transport reported to have entered into a mega transaction to purchase at least 500 buses from a company from neighbouring Country.   But the top team appointed to ensure checks and balances had already taken a decision to purchase required vehicles in two instalments from two companies. However concerned politico had declared that, he would quit his job if he were compelled to call off the mega deal. This same political authority had earlier declared, that he would not contest for a Parliamentary seat, but he is now in Parliament.
